The Charged Fyora is an Unstable Creation based on the traditional fyora. This creation contains much more energy and essence than a regular fyora, causing it to decay over time but have much more power. It appears as a brighter fyora in the earlier games and in the later games flashes white and then back to its original colour repeatedly. Charged fyoras in the early games do not decay.

Creation[]

With experiments, Shapers have found out that infusing more essence than usual into the creation of a Fyora will make it more powerful even though it causes it to become unstable and decay at a fairly rapid rate. The PC cannot create this creation unless the game is modified.

Locations[]

Geneforge 1[]

Kazg Ruins[]

The servile patrols wander the area with several charged Fyoras between them.

Power Station[]

A number of Charged Fyoras patrol the area as well as several being locked inside stone rooms in the Northern region that are hasted and attack as the player passes by. The Drayk Gyah-Ki seemingly shapes more from his alcove in the south-west as the player dispatches them and is defended by 2 very powerful Charged Fyoras named Tooth and Claw.

Combat[]

Charged Fyoras have an increased attack and hitpoints, making them good for one area that requires powerful creations. This causes them to be slightly overpowered when placed in a beginning area. Slightly augmented variants can be good bosses for beginning players and can provide the player with a hefty amount of experience and mid-leveled items. To combat, it is recommended to use a Melee Weapon to corner the Charged Fyora and force it to resort to using its Bite attack. If players wish to use a ranged attack, using magic, acid, or poison is recommended.

In technical terms, Charged Fyoras in Geneforge 4 have a base level of 18 while in Geneforge 5 are slightly more powerful with a base level of 20. As traditional Fyoras have a base level of 2, a regular PC created Fyora must level 16 and 18 times respectively to match the power of a Charged Fyora. Of course, the boosts gained through shaping the creature itself in levels can reduce the requirement.

Other Unstable Creations in the later stages lose hitpoints over time; it is suspected that if this creation was implemented in the spot of a Cryoa that this effect would also be observed.

Modding[]

In both Geneforge 4 and 5, Charged Fyoras are the 15th listed creature in g4itemschars.txt and g5itemschars.txt respectively.
